Authentic performance’s that explore relevent issues in false stories.

We are authentically false we are a comedy all-male theatre company graduating from Edinburgh Napier 2025 Stage and Screen Acting BA. We want to bring authentic stories, turn them up to 11 and bring them to the fringe. Our members are Liam, Arran, Daniel and Ruairi.

 

Actor

Daniel Doherty 

Daniel began his acting career through attending PACE youth theatre when he was 14, he then progressed into an HnD in acting and performance at Glasgow Kelvin College, also performing in a musical there, after graduating he was accepted into Edinburgh Napier University for his BA (Hons) degree in stage and screen acting. Daniel is ecstatic to be debuting as a professional actor at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his theatre group Authentically False

Ruairi McCormack

Ruairi has been acting since he was young, being an active member of both ‘The guild of players’ at the ‘Theatre Royal Dumfries’ and the ‘Dumfries Musical Theatre company’ He started studying Drama in school where he achieved Advanced higher level, moving on to an HND at City of Glasgow College before finally studying BA Stage and Screen acting at Edinburgh Napier University. He is very thankful to have the chance to perform at the fringe this august!

Arran Hogg

Arran started acting during the covid-19 lockdown by attending a short course provided by the Royal Scottish Conservatoire and then studying Higher Drama in high school.  Afterwards Arran attended City of Glasgow College to achieve his HND in acting and performance. Then he moved to studying a BA Honours Degree in stage and screen acting at Napier University. Arran can’t wait to debut at the fringe with Authentically False in August.

Liam Scobie

Liam started acting at age 5 when he joined Razzamatazz Theatre School Paisley, where he fell in love with acting. He stayed there until he was 16 when he went on to do more musicals. After leaving school, he did an HND in Acting and performance at City of Glasgow College. After this, he went on to a BA in Stage and Screen Acting at Edinburgh Napier University. He is very excited to make his Fringe debut in August with Authentically False.
